Hi my name is Quinn Ian Parsley. I am a local guitar instructor and musician in Maryland and Delaware.  Some of the people I myself have been taught by include Rusty Cooley, Mike Elzey, Matthew Mills, Derryl Gabel, Marshall Harrison, Curt Heavey, and Jordan Page. I am  well-versed in music theory topics such as modes, scales, extended chords, altered chords, improvising, sheet music, ear training, outside playing, and cadences; and I offer technical advice on basic techniques like muting, picking, and string bending; as well as more advanced techniques such as sweep picking, tapping, string skipping, and alternate picking. Every lesson I do is uniquely tailored for each student depending on their skill-level and musical preferences. I am currently teaching at a studio in Easton, MD; the Academy Art Museum in Easton, MD; and Seaford Music in Seaford, DE. I teach all ages, and offer group lessons at all locations.

Some of the styles of music I teach, play, and love are rock, blues, classical, jazz, latin, fusion, country, metal, punk, world, funk, and folk; and I am always looking for new musical avenues to explore (i.e. the weirder the better!). My musical influences include Jimi Hendrix (of course!), Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Eric Clapton, Paul Gilbert, Jason Becker, Derryl Gabel, Guthrie Govan, The Rolling Stones, Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss, Rusty Cooley, Yngwie Malmsteen, Bach, Betthoven, Fernando Sor, Andy James, Van Halen, Ozzy Osbourne, Yes, Rush, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Wolfmother, Shawn Lane, B.B. King, Al Di Meola, Racer X, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers.
